Release Management concepts

You connect your app from the App Store or Google Play to a Bitrise app that has already been authenticated to access and manage data through the APIs of these services. This is what we call a connected app.

You need at least one connected app to be able to use Release Management.

You manage releases of a connected app. An iOS release has a version number, and an Android release has a version name. Both unique identifiers match their counterparts in App Store Connect or Google Play.

A team member in Release Management with the required permissions to manage releases. A Release Manager must be an Admin in the Bitrise app's team.

For each connected app, you can define presets, which are configuration values automatically applied in a new blank release.
